The Gospel of Jesus Christ

Hello everyone!

We’ve all dealt with False Evidence Appearing Real in our lives. That’s right, False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR).

There are many whose entire lives have been governed by fear. It makes all their decisions for them. Fear has a ruling hand in many lives. They are governed by fear every single day.

Held captive by their own thoughts that aren’t based on foundational proof.

Fear of the unknown. Fear of what was, what is, and what could be.

They are simply afraid. In a constant state of feeling or being anxious.

Anxiety.

Fear Is Distressing: Understanding Fear and Anxiety

Dictionary.com defines fear as a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.

Anxiety is defined as distress or uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune.

Fear and anxiety are powerful forces in the world. They affect many lives today.

Fear and anxiety can become overwhelming, interfering with our thoughts, decisions, and everyday lives. Some experience anxiety as part of a mental health condition, while others experience fear during difficult circumstances.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we can turn to God for spiritual strength, comfort, and peace.

You cannot only believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the Savior of the world. You must also follow Jesus and obey His commandments.

So many have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.

False Evidence Appearing Real: When Fear Governs Our Lives

Fear can cause us to focus on things that have not happened and may never happen.

Our thoughts can become overwhelmed by what we imagine might go wrong. We begin to make decisions based on fear rather than truth.

But the Word of God reminds us of His love and the peace we can find in Him.

Herein Is Love: Perfect Love Casteth Out Fear

The Holy Scriptures speak clearly.

1 John 4:10–19 KJV

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

We love him, because he first loved us.

What a wonderful reminder of the love of God!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.” — 1 John 4:18 KJV

Think on These Things: Philippians 4:8–9

The Word of God also teaches us what we should focus our thoughts on.

Philippians 4:8–9 KJV

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Finding Peace Through Faith in Jesus Christ

Fear and anxiety can interfere with our daily lives, but we do not have to allow every fearful thought to govern our decisions.

We can examine our thoughts, seek what is true, and continue placing our trust in God.

The Holy Scriptures remind us to focus on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report.

Let us continue seeking the Lord, following Jesus Christ, and allowing the Word of God to guide our lives.
